Also seems right to point out, the most expensive beer I've personally seen yet was $11 at an Opeth show in NYC.
Pabst was one of them. Out in Pittsburgh area I've seen Pabst for 50 cent pitchers LOL

Bloody hell - this is going to sound like I'm an alcoholic, or a beer tourist, but I've had the Yeti Imperial Stout here (another of our favorite London watering holes), on draught (I remember it as being 11%, not 9.5% though )... needless to say I didn't have a pint, just a third, but that was enough to convince me it's probably in the top 5 beers I've ever had... it's that good.

America has the best microbrewery scene in the world in my opinion. Portland is especially great with 35 microbreweries.

A friend of mine went on one covering most of the Western USLOL
What was a bowling trip to Reno was some week+ long trip to Reno, Vegas, Cali, Oregon, and I think Colorado and other places the way home....stopping in whatever microbrew they found.
He texted me at all hours, drunk, and must've barely slept at all.

Was so horrified and jealous!

their is some good microbrewerys in Norway as well, have tasted some of them and they are good aslo in Norway all the major and smaller brewerys make each Christmas their own Christmas beer, with top-secret flavours which they only use and to perfection each christmas, with extra flavour

they are really good

Chrismas beer have its origin in the Vikingage, back in the days it was by law that all the farms in Norway should brew their own beer in christmas season to shear with their nabours. Food was of lesser importance (flesh/meat was not even leagal during faste, only fish could be eaten). so in old days it was said you should "drink christmas" as much as "celebrate christmas". But in tha last decade homebrewing have by far and large been taken over by coorporate breweries and the larger brands. the traditional home brew was in defenition a strong beer, with strength in alchohol on the level with exportbeer and Bock-beer. damn I'm going to source this one. during winter at my local they brew (on-site) a Russian Imperial which weighed in at 12% the first year 11% the next and 9% the most recent after realizing there were more bodies litter over the floor than propped on benches.

I could just be misremembering. I don't see why the ABV would be different. They only have one brewery.

Grabbed some Stone - the IPA was a bit too citrus for my personal taste, but just cracked open their pale ale and it is fantastic.

Newcastle is delicious. Right up there with the Ying honestly. I forgot how amazing it was.

Tried Leinenkugel (the sunset wheat specifically) and it was quite enjoyable, though not too often I'm in the mood for fruity pebbles beer...
