I heartily encourage to engage our young righties and give them hell. LOL

This will require you to engage people who don't have the same ideas as you.

Musically, some left wing prog artists you should get to know:
Skeleton Crew/Fred Frith
Robert Wyatt
Frank Zappa (somewhat)...

Wow!!! Too much hate!(go listen some Jon Anderson/Yes music, that should calm you down and give you a lesson about love).... but you probably have a very good musical taste (you see... I disagree with your political standpoint but I don't hate you!).

Lets speak about music... any favorite groups?

(a bit of advise: leave the right-left terminology, it makes no sense and the Cold War is over! Stalin and your friend Che were militarists -which is a very right wing stand- and Hitler was a socialist in many ways -at the end Nazi stands for National Socialist and it came from the German Workers' Party-.... just say you are a Socialist and hate anyone that disagrees with you, it is easier, more accurate and the correct way of saying it! And please don't say you are a Marxist until you've read The Capital in its entirety -I haven't met someone that did it and remained a Marxist afterwards... and I live in Venezuela #1 socialist country!- and can define what surplus value exactly is, something Marx forgot to do, thus making his economic theory incomplete).

Politics aside: Welcome to the forum!

The Communist Manifesto is a political statement (which by the way calls for violence, murder and destruction) not an ideological one, that is The Capital (which I encourage you to read!).

Fascism is an Italian movement that wanted to rebuild the Roman Empire, Nazism is a different thing. The fact that they are both nationalist, militarist and had some political bonds don't make them the same thing (again, the Cold War is over and not everyone that is not a Marxist is a Fascist... That is just Communist propaganda policy -which is brilliant BTW, Munzenberg was a genious!). Nazis considered themselves nationalists AND socialists (hence their name) and they hate social-democrats and communists... At the end all totalitarian ideologies are the same: a way of channeling hatred, frustration and envy.... (I include Marxism here).

BTW, you didn't answer my question: any favorite groups?

Ok first for the fav. bands: camel,david bowie,deep purple,ELP,flower kings,focus,frank zappa, genesis,jethro tull,little feat,dire straits,pink floyd,rush,supertramp,yes,... And so on.Star

Ok now for our theme
if you didnt know Italia and German were ally's back in the day, so they had similar ideas. Now about hitler

Almost all the hardline German nationalists were rabidly, frantically, hysterically, frenetically hostile to socialists, and also Hitler's greatest domestic political rivals were the socialist Social Democratic Party of Germany SPD.

Fascism was developed by Mussolini as a cure to what he viewed as the economic and social disease of Commmunism, which he saw reflected to a lesser extent in all forms of left-wing ideology. The Social Democrats were simply a slow cancer. Fascism is based on the concept of class collaboration, which was thought up by Mussolini as a direct opossing view to the Communist (Marxist) idea of class struggle. Under class collaboration, all classes were to accept and uphold the maxim that " affirms the irremediable, fruitful and beneficent inequality of men." Thus, according to Fascism those in superior economic positions in society held those positions because they were superior, and those roles should be codified. Naturally, the leader is the greatest of all. The idea was that the workers could be proud to serve their higher-up social betters. Rather than damaging the economy by engaging in civil unrest and resisting pressure by the rich to work harder, they would be taught to worship hierarchy, and punished for resisting it. Unions, rabble rousers, Communists, Socialists, workers' rights advocates, even moderate liberals and conservative lassaiz faire economists who resisted the government choosing powerful businessmen to perform nearly all services for the communities at an extreme profit, for which citizens were required to pay, thus disrupting the free market, (which is in a nutshell how a fascist economy operates), were therefore dangerous dissenters who did nothing but interfered with efficient production by resisting harsher working conditions and thus, according to the Fascists, made society poorer.

I knew you had a great musical taste!

Thanks for the history lesson! But you didn't prove that Nazis are Fascists... And if Nazis hated all socialists, why did they call their party National SOCIALIST? Nazis hated Marxism, which is just a branch of Socialism and they believed that there should not be social classes and in defending the workers while purging all non-aryans... My point is that the left-right terminology makes no sense since ideologies such as Nazism don't fit in any (being a workers' party and being nationalist makes them fit in both categories)...

By the way, your personal views are directly influenced by Nazism, since Hitler pioneerd in environmental policy... So, what are you? left or right? Just say you are a Marxist! (but read The Capital first... Best way of leaving Marxism: actually understanding it!... After that I'll recommend reading some Hanna Arendt).

Besides the politics (I do consider myself a Capitalist... Don't worry, I don't eat children) we have much in common: I also love ELP (Tarkus being my favorite album), Camel (specially The Snow Goose) and basically all of the groups you mentioned! If you want recommendations let me know!

The Name isnt important NSDAP their politics didnt have anything to do with socialism!

And for the info i just asked my history teacher and my dad and my grandma-who lived in an socialistic country Yugoslavia and she said that back than she had the best years of her life.  And they all said that  germans hated socialism and the name didn have to do nothing with their politics

ok on short: GERMANS HATED SOCIALISM  end of line.

and im more of an: anarcho-communist,green anarchist.

But you should realy read something abour left-winger politics you dont have to be ultra left winger just try to read something about leftwing in books or the net (wikipedia,...)
