All 8 of these bands deserve to be where they are in my opinion...some of the best stuff out there!!!!

None (0) of these groups has a single album which rates among my personal all-time favorites; only two (2) of these eight (8) groups has any albums that I enjoy (Porcupine Tree's Fear of a Blank Planet and Lightbulb Sun and Anekdoten's Waking the Dead, Live in Japan 2005)!!!

Marillion, PT, DT, Anekdoten, Spock's Beard. I like like the other bands too, but they really don't add up or compare to the ones I just listed. Also I'm not really that familiar with Phiadeux either.

Eh, not really for all of them.

I think most people here don't have an actual word document with band names, but maybe I am wrong. I can tell you that I don't.
|
I have a Word document with band names, countries of origin, album titles and year of release.
If not for it I would have a hard time remembering what I have! My memory is so bad sometimes...
I voted 6 of 8. Not familiar with Phideaux, and not a fan of Spock's Beard (even though I do own three of their albums).

6 out of 8.......I don't have any Phideaux (so it could be 7 of 8)......but for sure that would be the limit as I do not like Opeth......except for the last album.....so maybe 7.5 of 8 .

I enjoy 6 of them. The other two, Phideaux and Anekdoten, are good but I've heard only one work from each of them so can't say. Of the other 6 I have pretty much all their studio albums (except Marillion from which I have about 7)
