Yeah, I have for a couple of years now I think, but I prefer to keep a low profile. The admin get all the glory, and hopefully most of the complaints too. ;)

Just food for your thoughts, 23 minutes, studio album or this category ?

Depends how the artist considers it. It's quite short I agree.

That's it where I was confused, if artist is the capacity here, or if we will alter his/her/their decision by our rules (if such rules exist). It is short, but so is the Patchwork:

http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=3934

Even it is 30 minutes long (but 9 of these is live version song, which tend to be longer than studio versions of the same song under the normal conditions).

Just some food for night thoughts :)

PARSONS BAND, ALAN

PARSONS PROJECT, ALAN

I am curious if they should remain like that, filled under P. I thought that switching Last for First name is done only for artist names - personal names. While there is Alan's name in this artist name, these words "band" and "project" hints it should be taken as any other artist name - filled under A.

If we had artist Alan Parsons (and nothing more), it would be OK for me to have him under P - Parsons, Alan, but band and project words breaks this rule I think. Because when you have artist with only two names (or three in special cases - including middle name), you switch first with second, do the complete opposite, turn them all around. But with "Parsons, Alan Project", the result is somehow weird. Unnatural, wrong.

At least that how it sounds to me.

I agree, it's more logical to put them under A, but I'm afraid people used to see him under P.

^ Actually, my first thought was to look him up under P, because I saw Parsons, but then (in a next second), I clicked on A, because I thought about it quickly and reached (also quick) conclusion that Project word dispels it.

It reminds me when I first tried to look "A Piedi Nudi" under P, thinking that "A" is like English article Tongue.

I hope this is the right place to post it: In the bio of the band Fuchsia Mervyn is spelled Mervin:

http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2585

It’s not a big deal, but it would still be nice to spell the name correctly. (I think Ian knows very well why I post this!)

Sleepy

Shall we proceed somehow, or leave it as it is ?

When I think about mentioned A PIEDI NUDI, isn't "A" article, like "the" ? But we don't switch the order, so it's filled under A, probably because it is from language other than English.

Marthy, A PIEDI NUDI means "without shoes" ("bos" in Czech, if I'm right), they should stay under A.

As for Alan Parsons, I propose to ask admins' opinion.

There are spelling mistakes in the tracklist of the omonimous SAINT JUST album.

1. Il Fiume Inondo (10:43)
2. Il riveglio (6:16)
3. Dolci Momenti (3:16)
4. Una Bambina (8:02)
5. Trister Peota di Corte (6:19)
6. Saint Just (3:58)

Correct names;

1. Il Fiume Inondò (the accent is very important in Italian)
2.. Il Risveglio ("Awakening")
5. Triste Poeta Di Corte (sad poet of court)

True, it's "bos", barefoot if I'm correct (Snowy, help there?). As I am no expert on Italian grammar, this was just a wild guess, but curious example for me, so I mentioned it.

So the "a" in question doesn't work like English "a" and is not an article ? But then we get people who are used to "A" being an article and would look for the band under "P", as Piedi Nudi, A. It is not right, but who knows how people think in that way.

By the way, I use "ALL" letters list and just search for band I need Smile

Fellow team members. I don't want to appear ill tempered, but this thread is for reporting errors. All this discussion should really take place in our own team thread.
