To my way of thinking, you have a number of choices in this extremely important issue (and certainly far more interesting than much of what we have read on this thread ):
1. You can pretend you are either Sarkosy or Merkel and impose a technocratic government upon Lazland and insist upon a new avatar in order to save the Lazland avatar from the vagaries of the markets. 2. Open up a new Lazland "Get The Monkey Out" thread/poll. 3. Accept that the monkey is here to stay and learn to love him.

The topic has become as interesting as watching two snails enter into a courtship ritual.

Ok lets address this point by point on a one to one ad hoc basis intended for maximum resolvent of the above stated issues.
1 (i) Sounds interesting, but pretence doesn't resolve this serious issue in the "real world" 2 (ii) This is infinitely possible and I may start a committee to look into this. 3(iii) Oh Ok then..........but love? NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Are you seriously suggesting that the markets do not exist in the real world? Time for you ro erect a tent in St Pauls, methinks 2. I must insist upon consultation, with ultimate veto powers, into the makeup of this committee. This should be accompanied by a full Royal Commission into the potential emotional breakdown impact of getting rid of the monkey. 3. The monkey insists upon being loved. Do you really want an appearance on Jeremy Kyle????

1. I draw your attention to a remark attributed to Lazland in the original document "1. You can pretend you are either Sarkosy or Merkel ". I think that about covers that without further protection under canvas! 2. You can insist all you like. But it's like banging your proverbial against a constructed barrier of clay cuboids. 3. Alas my hatred of the monkey knows no bounds. But i would rather sever my wrists and depart this brief existence before I would set foot in any television studio which contained the presence of Mr Kyle!!!!

Sour grapes, Ian. Those bands you put down had the chops and brains to flesh out a concept.....Thick is a bore and, well, way too serious for taking the piss. When Thick got ripped by the music press, Ian got all pissy and went into retirement, then put out a "rock" album that, well, didn't really rock.
