 Reagan statue looks like Saddam's
Reagan not nearly as loved as FOX says...

  Link

Police were scratching their heads over why someone tried to topple a Reagan bronze in a Newport Beach park.
According to authorities, someone lassoed the statue and hitched it to a pickup early Sunday. The theft was foiled
when the rope or chain slipped off as the pickup pulled away. A witness alerted the police.

The statue, valued at about $50, was left leaning from its foundation. It was later removed from its base.

Police spokeswoman Kathy Lowe said they are looking for a man in a tan pickup.

That statue is less crooked than Reagan was.

Remember, they had to bury his papers to hide Reagan's crimes
but our brainless Demcrats are too stupid to pick up on the obvious.

Next time the GOP says, "We want to name this after Reagan," the Dems should say,
"Sure, as soon as you make his papers public so we can see who we're honoring."

That would nip all that statue talk in the bud, but our
cowardly, braindead Democrats can't figure that out.

Visibility to Russia will likely be lessened. The isolation may be unsettling.

8 inches is like … 20 cm, right? OMG!

But frankly, the wind seems a little disturbing. 85 mph is rather heavy.

You know, when I heard about it I was thinking, Alaska? Snow storm?  So what?  But I've never heard of a snow hurricane before.  It's not so much the snow but the storm surge and the winds.  But something similar happened in '74.

Good job we never had climate change in 1974 then or there would have been media panic, spilt skinny-latte macchiatos, tears before bedtime...

I'm not in Alaska, but I can see it from here on a clear day Wink

But seriously, this was a big ass storm that hit that Alaskan coast. As someone said, "Down south they call them hurricanes." It was a Type 2. Fortunately, there is not much infrastructure there, or for that matter people, or there'd be yammering (which there will be) for the Feds to come to the rescue. On the other hand, anyone who lives in Nome is pretty much used to being self sufficient, Feds or no.
Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

Not to mention they get free oil money just for living in Alaska.

Life's little victories:
"The Senate upheld Internet access rules known as [modified] net neutrality on Thursday, rejecting a move to overturn the Federal Communications Commission’s regulations.

And in France, wine is an agricultural product (veg, fruit) and is taxed as it. Both is stupid as heck, but it keeps the undertakers busy burrying people and counting their money. And full employment is the most important thing here.

Nice.  In the health capital of Europe that is Scotland you can get deep fried pizza in the chip shops (As welll as deep fried Mars Bars (IN batter I believe) .  This may be a folk story though as I have never experienced either.
Help me I'm falling!
