Features I'd like to see:

Sort by Rating

I was recently investigating some Miles Davis and it occurred to me that my favorite site to research music, namely ProgArchives, didn't have an ability (that I know of) to view an artist's recordings by rating.  I'd love to be able to sort, especially for artists with lots of releases, so I can get an idea of where to start exploration.

Starter Albums
In lieu of sorting by rating, perhaps a designation for the best albums to start with for a particular artist. It would be subjective, but by adding some kind of measure of suitability to start with, people's votes would even out over the long run and the cream would rise to the top.

Similar albums
I would also really like to see some kind of "if you like this album, you may like these..." feature. I know it may be subjective, but it could really help us explore other artists.

Just my two cents.

Sort by rating - not a bad idea
Starter albums - a good bio will probably/should contain such recommendations (this exists for the respective sub genres)
Similar albums - I heartily loathe the 'you might like this also' feature on other web sites e.g. you point to Vangelis and they suggest Nana Mouskouri cos they're both Greek?!

Perhaps the "instant gratification generation" is to blame, but I don't want to wade through a bio to find out which albums are good ones to start with. Plus seeing it visually helps me.

And maybe the moderators can help prevent ludicrous suggestions. Although features that make more work for moderators aren't ideal.

I always thought the sort by rating would be nice. I support you on that.
