Quick gaiz, I'm still not sure which of these notebooks (1 and 2) I should buy.

I'd go with 1.

I've known Lenovo to be very durable computers, and 6 GB of memory is definitely more than enough for just about anything.

I dunno. All I need is a good computer that won't be obsolete for the next 5 years; for example, I want it to be able to run Windows 8 fastly in the future.

I can guarantee you that you will not need all of 6GB of memory to run Windows 8 properly, and Intel core i5 will definitely be sufficient.

Again, I'd go with Lenovo. Been using 'em all my life (well, they were IBM computers before they were Lenovo) and they're fantastic.

They should be. I think IdeaPads are just less business-oriented and more student/general use oriented.

I think I'll go with Lenovo then.

Also, I'm getting some Grado SR80i's and one of these bad boys.

Yet another mouse that I can't tell how I'm supposed to hold just by looking at it.

I HATE those types of mouses. They just feel so unnatural IMO.
