Pete Trewavas is busy again. This time, joining up with Marillion's long time friend and "driver" Eric Blackwood to make a new band called Edison's Children that from what was rumored at Wolverhampton last night after some of the band spilled the beans... ALL of the band (Marillion) will be appearing at various parts of this album. Some updates coming in at www.facebook.com/EdisonsChildren and at http://www.edisonschildren.com. Ian Mosley has stated that he just recorded a 17 minute song for Edison's Children
This is how they are describing it. "In The Last Waking Moments..." is a concept album about someone who experienced a surreal and bizarre happening, and is attempting to come to terms as to whether this experience was reality or a decent into madness.. |

1.) We don't need two threads about it.
2.) It probably won't make my list anyway, based on my taste in music. |

It's not like the voting happens now for collabs anyway, usually sometime in February(?).

Latest news is that it is Steve Hogarth, making this the first non-Marillion project to ever feature every current Marillion member.
They are offering a download of the first song off the CD if you buy the 11.11.11 inaugural T-Shirt today. Includes an "exclusive remix" as well that is not on the CD. Also ... anyone who buys the 11.11.11 T-Shirt gets their name in the CD booklet. http://www.edisonschildren.com has all the ordering information

It's out (download and CD pre-order) and it is intense! Awesome ...
cross between porcupine tree and pink floyd with lots of marillion overtones... but harder at times like tool very dark ... and one tune is completely different and sounds like gentle giant (the one with mark kelly) (racket/marillion is doing their european distribution) so all of marillion is on this and robin boult (fish) and andy ditchfield (deeexpus)

I got the download of this on the day it was released and oh my god it it freakin amazing.
Eric Blackwood and Pete Trewavas have really created a concept masterpiece here about a guy losing his mind as a result of alien abduction. There are many musical influences on the album and it really pulls you in different directions with hints of Floyd, Porcupine Tree and even Led Zep too!! Pete doing everything apart from base in one way shape or form here - his voice is really good and it is a shame he is not doing more active vocals for Marillion now and again I think. I was really not sure what to expect from this as an experience, but for me it trumps over Transatlantic easily. Pete only needs one side hobby now and that is getting this thing on the road and making more amazing albums with Eric. Basically - if you aint got it - then go get it, and if you have got it then tell everyone else how bloody good it is :)
