I hate feeling freshly shaved, though. Feels gross.

I always feel like I miss a spot when I'm done shaving and it irritates me

I somehow always end up cutting myself, even after all of these years.

Nothing ever works, but it's okay. I only shave one a week.

I generally don't miss anything or cut myself too much.

I don't think I'd have the nerve to self-harm.

That's because you aren't suicidal. It's a sick frame of mind and luckily I've never been there. The worst I used to do was punch the wall to purposely bruise my knuckles.

I still don't understand the psychology behind the "cutting" thing, but I actually haven't looked into it at all.

Sometimes I like to cause myself mild discomfort (pinching, the like) in order to focus, I don't think I would mind hurting myself though. Also, I don't think I've ever actually felt pain

It's because you want you outside to be as wounded as you feel inside. Or you wish to punish yourself.

I think it is about the relief. Have you ever had a large cut? The flow of blood kind of feels good after a while

That just sounds illogical though.

I thought it had to do with the release of endorphins.

Shredders... Hancock fans?... once again some material from me, if somebody minds.
I sampled a couple of Hancock tunes with a DJ program, is not really pro or anything, just for fun. (if someone's interested, some feedback would be alright!)

All I know is I have wanted to cut before but resisted the impulse. And it was because I was so hurt on the inside, my unharmed body felt like such hypocrisy. A big damn lie.
