The post-rock suggestion thread just reminded me of something:
The Beep Beep online label, which has a few awesome prog(related) bands. I discovered it back when I was unemployed and broke. It was a joy. Great post rock with horns: We Vs. Death (PA page) - very original post rock band that uses horns in their music. The Walt - post-hardcore a la At The Drive In, they only have one EP out but it seriously rocks. Kismet - indie rock, Hiatus is a great album. My Bubba & Me and The Black Atlantic (Reverence for Fallen Trees is especially recommended) - wonderful tranquil indie-folk. |

Charts and Maps released their debut album Dead Horse.
A brilliant mixture of fusion, math-rock, and post-rock. Here is one of the songs off the album! |

They have been suggested, I have brought them to the attention of the approving team and there is no doubts they have a place somewhere in PA. They have also been compared to Spock's Beard, even named a clone, in the Duck Prog Rock Magazine which gave them a rave review. Something I fully understand, but some hard guitars (*wagging finger*) excluded them from my symph team. .......... but I take your point that the listing here, off which I am probably 100 % responsible for, was premature, overly excuberant and breaking the rules here. Stupid is the word I am looking for here....... Stupid. Edited by toroddfuglesteg - November 04 2011 at 14:37 |

I cannot see Badernana (is that the band name?) listed on this site. Are they prog? If so, have they been suggested for addition?

A brilliant band too and a superb album which goes straight into the top 5 of free albums. I interviewed them one year ago. Superb guys. I will PM my fellow symph prog team members with this news. Yes, the band is in the archives, but I love to share good news. Thanx Tupan !! |
