This might be dificult for some. But the beatles are arguably the most successfully progressive artist ever. So have at it.

No I did not notice. And one question mark just wouldn't satisfy the amount of shock I feel.

I'm between Abbey Road and The White album, but I picked WH because it had no votes.

One would think it would either be the white album or magical mystery tour.

I don't believe Sgt Peppers is that amazing although it does get a lot of credit for starting the 'art rock/prog rock' movement.

Oh come on, Yellow Submarine is obviously their best, particularly that side they don't play on. I'll give it up to The White Album for inspiring Manson and Cain's tax plan.

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I have also heard it get credit for glam rock. I do not see how revolver is any more artsy or progressive than sgt pepper.

Abbey Road but there should be a Poll Choice for the "lot" except the horrible Yellow Sub. Their disco is all one big album for me. " She loves you, yeah, yeah , yeah

I didn't say it was.
There is perhaps one revolutionary track on each album (Tomorrow Never Knows and A Day In The Life). The rest are just great songs. Sgt Peppers importance seems to come mainly from A Day In The Life which was something new and orginal. Robert Fripp heard it and the rest was history as they say.Perhaps TNK was too 'trippy' to be regarded as an important track.

Well yes, I can almost see how a day in the life is a prog song. But the rest of the album just screams psychadelic to me. But Revolover just has more progressive songs. Tomorrow never Knows, For No one, Elanor Rigby. But if you ask me. I'd say the First beatles Prog album was Abbey Road.
