Seconded. Eleanor Rigby with its magnificent counterpoint does it for me.

2. Tomorrow Never Knows
3. Love You Too

No flaws.

What a great album, hard to pick, but to be different I'll vote for Tomorrow Never Knows. Eleanor Rigby is also wonderful, Taxman is great, you get the idea! Smile

Had to go with TNK just because it changed everything.  amazing track even today.

For pure songwriting quality, though, I would give an honorable mention to "For No One" - one of the strongest songs Paul ever wrote.

I really like Revolver, but I usually pass it by compared to their 67-69 material. I think I'll be the only person here to pick Yellow Submarine. So catchy.

Okay, so maybe my pop sluttiness isn't serious this time 'round.

For No One is the saddest and therefore the best.

Wow, look at that list of songs. Some musicians would be lucky to release songs of this quality in the course of a career!  She Said She Said has a special place in my heart,

The only song I really like... or rather that I remember well enough is Eleanor Rigby. Perhaps I should give this album another spin, but don't remember hearing anything so special about the rest of the album.

I can't help it if Taxman's lyrics make me laugh. 'That's one for you, nineteen for me'. Hey, I'm all for sharp, biting lyricism, but c'mon!

Okay, sometimes I  maybe have to elaborate. She Said She Said is pure prog, shifting between 3/4 and 4/4 constantly, without effort. At the time who knew of this, maybe Dave Brubeck? Listen to Ringo's drums! Yeah yeah yeah sh*ttiest drummer on the planet. Think again my friends Ringo is a beast. Lennon's pissed off. This is one of the finest songs ever recorded. I listen to this It''s making me feel like I've never been born.

Tomorrow Never Knows. Insanely ahead of its time, not just by years but by decades.
