Anything beyond a Ron Paul bumper sticker is too difficult for you, eh? If you read it you'd pronounce it unfunny because you wouldn't understand the point being made.

It's absurdly unfunny. Almost all political cartoons are, and they require no talent. "I'm a liberal and I'm mad at wall street for being greedy corporate fascists! We need to reelect Obama so he'll set them straight!" "But Wall Street gave huge amounts of money to Obama and in return he bailed them out instead of letting them fail like they deserved to." "Derp!"

I'm going to trust thellama's take on this comic because, having read the ones you've trolled the Libertarian Thread with, he's probably dead on. As you may recall though, we used to point out exactly why your troll-comics were idiotic and wrong in the other thread but you would ignore the responses only to show up a few weeks later with a new comic to troll.

Eh as llama said, most suck. If I cared enough to find right wing ones (or any) they would be the same crap.
Why are we talking about political cartoons anyway? You guys are a bunch o politicians, distracting from the topic at hand! : P

I'm never going to vote.
You guys might like reading the book, 'Seeing', from Jose Saramago.
As a summary, in a Portugal city, all the citizens cast blank ballots. The governing body assumes it's a mistake and recasts the election poll for the following Sunday. It happens again. True to their word, the city's given what they wanted - no governing body. These 'blankers' cast votes for no president. They are given a controlled, contained form of anarchy - the city is surrounded by an outer military, keeping the citizens in, but the place itself has no legal system anymore, no police, no judges or courts, and no order (apparently). No, it doesn't devolve into mass chaos. It's a pretty stable look at what might happen given that situation.

That is why I find it disingenuous of the Obama administration to have recently latched onto the Occupy Wall Street movement like it's their version of the Tea Party. President Obama's stimulus plan bailed out these greedy banks then turns around to throw support towards people protesting the banks and Wall Street.
Reelecting President Obama isn't such a good idea IMO. He's been ineffective and his economic policies have made a bad situation even worse.

Almost all of the Republicans would have voted for that package except for one...

So, my annoying friend who was all about these protests...I was wondering why he went so quiet. Apparently he has joined. Currently occupying Harrisburg, PA. In a way I'm kinda envious. Not that I share his "this is it" mentality, (and he's just as conflicted as they, claims to be an anarchist but at times supported communism) but it must be something to be out living on the streets of a city with strangers, getting to know them, building an actual communal feel. I think that'd be an amazing life experience. In the meantime I've been working for the man, closest feeling I have gotten was listening to the song "Dogs" by PF excessively while working

Certainly intriguing. My history is getting rusty, I don't know of any successful anarchist...areas? I was gunna say body/government but that's not really accurate. I think for a few years during the Spanish Civil War there was an anarchist region, and during the Russian Civil War there was the "black army" in Southern Ukraine, but I don't think they actually existed as an anarchist society (there's the word!). Since there is no real world long term example, fiction it is! I need more books to get back into reading, I'm putting that one on the list!

I think you are thinking of the Ukrainian partisans during WWII, who just fought everyone. The Ukrainian Insurgent Army (iirc) fought for Ukrainian Nationalism at the same time. Although I'm not 100% certain about that. The Russian Civil War certainly had anarchist elements. You have to remember, that Russia is the spiritual home of modern anarchism, anarchists had tried to assassinate members of the monarchy (sometimes successfully) well back into the mid-19th Century.

I was watching the coverage this morning, there was a non-violent end here in Atlanta, and a violent break up in Oakland. I can't help but think they are seriously botching things. The best way to run this thing would be to leave, wait a while, come back, leave again when they tell you to, wait a while, come back. Combine that with other political activism and follow up with voting, and they could affect real change. Instead they are losing the war of public opinion, which means political activism will be much less effective.

I sampled that article. The 1% that he may define as useless and counterproductive in the government are being directed by the 1% at the top, so what? Zippy conveniently forgets that they often overlap, but where they don't the rest aren't aren't getting hyper-wealthy.

If the 1% in government didn't have so much power, the other 1% wouldn't be able to direct anything. Simple as that.
