Man, I loved "Tainted Love" back in the day (I believe I was in sixth grade).
I did not know it was a cover, though! I'll have to search for the original.
Marc Bolan's Mrs I think
Nice! Reading the Wikipedia entry I expected it to be quite different than the Soft Cell version, but other than the instrumentation they are quite similar. In a good way. Too often covers are so different that they may as well have not bothered. Of course a carbon copy is pointless also; looks like Soft Cell hit the happy medium on this one.

This is my first listen to a Henry Cow album ... it's about time!
I've had it a while now, but it's still my only H.Cow. A lot of good stuff, but I could do without "Teenbeat Introduction" and "The Tenth Chaffinch". Is there any real music going on in those songs? Seems like they're just randomly tooting and tapping.
Still unsure if I should check them out further.
What is the real "official" title of this album, anyway? My copy says "Henry CowLeg End (Original Mix)". I know "Leg End" is punny, but is that really how they meant to spell it? Wikipedia says it's officially The Henry Cow Legend. PA just uses Legend.
