Israeli Progressive Rock Radio Documentary Series Only @ http://www.deliciousagony.com/ Michael's Sonic Kaleidoscope and Delicious Agony Progressive Rock Radio are proud to present a series of shows dedicated to a very overlooked but quite impressive scene of the Progressive Rock world: the Israeli Prog Scene. The series will follow the history of Israeli Prog chronologically since it's earliest appearances in the mid and late 60s until its latest productions in this first decade of the 21st century. After years of collecting Israeli Progressive Rock music (this being one of the very first Prog scenes I've explored, after being introduced to the genre by an Israeli) I've managed to form quite a big and representative collection of Israeli prog and related music. Following Sonic Kaleidoscope's format I'll give you a glimpse of such a collection showcasing progressive rock, the music that influenced it and music influenced by it! The first part of the series focused on the development of the Israeli Progressive Rock scene and sound during the period between 1965 and 1975, the second part showcased the most prolific period of the classic Israeli Prog Scene, the three years between 1975 and 1978, which was also marked by the emergence of the so-called "Beit Lessin scene". The third part explored the last years of the 70s classic Israeli Prog Scene and prove that whoever said that progressive rock died in the 80s forgot to look in Israel. This fourth part will give a glimpse at the modern Israeli Prog Scene with some of the most representative groups of the scene, some more obscure ones and very recent releases. Join me for a journey through the history of one of the most interesting Prog Rock scenes in the world! Michael Only @ http://www.deliciousagony.com/ Schedule: *Monday November 7th 5pm EST *Thursday November 10th 3pm EST (re-run) The set-list of Part 1: http://deliciousagony.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=4710 The set-list of Part 2: http://deliciousagony.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=4726 The set-list of Part 3: http://deliciousagony.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=4737 Edited by ProgressiveAttic - November 04 2011 at 19:30 |
