Really has no bearing on the theory of relativity at all at this stage, but it's interesting.

Ya know, if I were a fundamentalist Christian, I'd be getting pretty peeved with this Jesus character about now.  He keeps saying he's coming and then doesn't bother to show up.  Dude, pick a date and stick to it or stop messing with my schedule.

Bottom line though is he'll just blame being grounded by his dad

As an FYI, that's not viewable for the non-UKers among us.

That's a shame, because it was very very silly and almost amusing. (The BBC Head of Rude Words reading George Carlin's list of Seven Dirty Words was a nice touch).

Oh well the World Bank said it so that negates common sense.

I would like to have a worldwide ban on the use of the phrase "common sense" in all political discourse (okay, you can cite your Thomas Paine quote) for at least 5 years. It is absolutely meaningless but is the first thing everybody falls back on when they are unable or unwilling to make a real argument/say what they actually believe.

At least some of our politicians are doing something constructive, which would be entirely unnecessary if the gov't had a brain to being with.

Pi calculated to the trillionth digit. It's 5.

Actually I just wanted to post this to laugh at this one moron in the comments section:

With all due respect sir, you're not much of a mathematician if you believe Pi has been PROVEN to be "irrational." It is accepted theory, but not proven beyond ALL doubt. If one can carry the terms of Pi to the 50 quadrillionth term, and find the Pi does indeed terminate or repeat, then it is clearly not an irrational number. Conjecture and assumption are no substitute for empirical knowledge. While I too agree the exercise is probably a waste of time, your arrogance astounds me. For the record, some of my limited maths knowledge came from the University of Leeds, England, and for that knowledge, I'm blessed.

Gaddafi's dead.  Yay Libya!

"Interim leader Mustafa Abdel Jalil said on Sunday, during his speech to the nation in Benghazi to formally declare the country's liberation from the ousted regime of Moammer Kadhafi, that sharia would be Libya's principal law."

Oh dear.

I'll be amazed if most of these countries don't end up in worse tyranny in 10 years than they are now.  One pundit I heard summed it up pretty well....these kids have enthusiasm which is great, but they will be of little match for the hard line Islamists in terms of will and organization when the fights over power begin.  But I hope they prevail and obtain some kind of reasonable government that gives their people stability.
...that moment you realize you like "Mob Rules" better than "Heaven and Hell"
