This poll represents 2 BS eras - which one do you prefer? I didn't include 1977-78 albums (the most interesting period IMO)  because I know  that they aren't  respected on PA (and that's strange)

Would you catch the final words of mine?

Technical Ecstasy was always my favourite, but in this poll I'll go for choice 2

SBS is my favorite Ozzy-fronted Sabbath album, and tied with H&H for all-time favorite Sabbath album.  I also really dig Sabotage - probably my second favorite Ozzy-fronted album.

I like the s/t debut and Paranoid quite a bit as well, but I don't really get into Masters that much.  So, easy choice for me.  Number 2 it is.
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

I really don't know how to vote: I ADORE the first two albums, I ADORE Sabotage, but I never really got into the others albums.

Vol. 4 is horribly recorded album with a few good songs. Sabbath Bloody Sabbath and mainly Sabotage are truly (Proto) Prog Metal albums and thus got my vote. But first three Sabbath LPs are undoubtedly Classic and Essential Metal stuff! I like all Ozzy's era but in Prog focus I have to vote for option #2.

Second option. Easy choice.

Sabotage is their best album, imo.
Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Second Option has Sabbath Bloody Sabbath so I'm gonna vote for that.

Doom era Sabbath kicks the crap out of Prog era Sabbath, although I do love Sabotage and Volume 4.

No vote from me - I love both these periods, and wouldn´t know how to put one before the other.
Black Sabbath is like a musical big brother to me.

I cannot vote in this poll apparently. I'm a longtime ProgArchives person and reviewed tons of albums, but one day my password wasn't working anymore. I guess there's a lock on polls for "new" members? Anyway, my answer is Vol. 4/SBS/Sabotage. But really, what about Technical Ecstasy and Never Say Die? Those should not be forgotten, great stuff on each!

The first three.  Master Of Reality is my favourite followed closely by Paranoid and i really like the Bluesy feel of the debut. So it's no contest for me.

First 3 for me.

The debut does so much for me.

Early Sabbath for me today, I lean toward those albums a fraction because of the blues roots and the 'Fairies Wear Boots'

Have to go with the former 3. Not that the latter 3 don't have their moments.

Vol. IV and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath are my favorites. The first side of Sabotage is the best work Sabbath has ever done. It flat out rocks. But I think they got stoned and gave up on the second side altogether. There's such a difference between side 1 and 2, It's like they're separate albums.

Dio era all the way.

But out of these Choice two wins.  Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is easily the best Ozzy fronted Sabbath album.
