Very sad news. RIP John, a very talented guitarist.

The great Atomic Rooster line-up that did Death Walks Behind You - Du Cann, Vincent Crane and Paul Hammond - are now all gone.Cry

Love that band, and his particular "edgy" singing style

Sorry to hear of this.  He made a massive noise during his time here which still resonates and touches me to this day.

Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

I'm NOT being sanctimonious here but in this context a pre requisite for any tasteful punchline would surely preclude hitting a man when he's down Ermm

this news is shocking and depressing!

I have been a great admirer of John du Cann's music for decades, ever since i heard Death Walks Behind You in 1979
I am so sorry to hear this
And i am about to recieve a copy of Bullet's The Entrance To Hell featuring him any day now!
RIP, John! You will be greatly missed.

I passed up a chance to grab `Death Walks Behind You' on LP at a local record fair for $20 Australian.....why did I pass it up?! Obviously because I'm an idiot! :(

I mean, I had a download of it and knew it was a killer album (and the first album is a knockout for me, too), but I looked at it and thought `Hmmm, I'll come back and get this before I leave'....

Note to self: NEVER plan on coming back! Grab it there and then!

Very sad to read this news, the Rooster albums have become very special to me.

Hopefully one day I'll come across it again...
