The only album I enjoy by John Martyn is Bless the Weather because it's mostly folky, although I do appreciate that the lyrics to Solid Air were directed towards Nick Drake <3

Yeah, sounds that way to me.  His beats are really ugly and dark, which I like.  He has a good voice too.

This recording of Turangalīla-Symphonie is really good so far.  I wonder if that's why Messiaen said it should be considered the definitive version...
