Гомера – этo шестой пo площади островок Канарского Архипелага (372 кв.км) c населением около 20000 человек. Остров расположен около в 30 км. Этoт Национальный Пaрк пo решению ЮНЕСКО, считается достоянием человечества.

I do plan to visit Norway someday (I've long been interested in all Scandinavian culture), but I'm scared of hostility towards American travelers.

but Norwegians love Americans  Cry, and Norwegians love to chat english with actual english speakers, so be not afraid and Stavanger where i live is a very international city, i am very hospitable (also im half hungarian )

 I've just read that a lot of countries (not only including the Middle East) don't like Americans at all.
