Kayo Dot was actually unpleasant; within three minutes, half of the audience had slipped out of the room to escape the jarring cacophony. In the words of one concert-goer, “any band that needs that many gongs is doing it wrong.” After a few songs, we slipped out to the dining hall to weather the storm with some Kimmel pizza.

When we got back to the auditorium, all of the members of the band were pounding on pieces of scrap metal in something reminiscent of a Primus jam. Needless to say, we were relieved when they took their last bows and left the stage. Ultimately though, the night was a great success and fans (who probably had never had the opportunity to see Carissa’s Wierd before) left starry eyed.

ALL OF THE RAGE

If a reviewer is leaving the gig after 10 minutes, your doing it wrong. not enjoying Kayo Dot. He's doing life wrong.

To tell the truth, I'm not a fan of Kayo Dot. And Porcupine Tree bore me.

I tried listening to Blue Lambency Downward and fell asleep. It seemed like a fail version of Univers Zero.

I like Kayo Dot, but Porcupine Tree is totally boring most of the time.

I really like Blue Lambency. Don't know why it's less favourable. Coyote is actually the one i'm yet to get really into. I've had less listens to it though.

I dunno, tbh, it seemed like it might be one of those cases where it was too prog for me. Like, I think, "This is probably good on some level I'm failing to comprehend, but I hate it."
