Both bands are somewhat quirky but I prefer the quirkiness of Beardfish over the quirkiness of The Mars Volta.

I'm not that big on Beardfish, but little could be worse than The Mars Volta. Except Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, maybe.

I knew this would be close. I also knew it shouldn't BE close. TMV for the tournament, easily.

This is like the third pairing in a row that I haven't been able to vote.  I have both "Deloused on the Comatorium" and one of the "Sleeping in Traffic" CD's and neither inspired me to further explore the band.  I know there are a lot of people on here that love each of these bands, but neither of them move me.

Beardfish, only because they're the under dogs. TMV have also been bothering me, both with the dissatisfaction of their last album, and that they're taking forever to come out with a new album.

If TMV loses, I'm going to defenestrate myself.

If TMV wins I will defenstrate you; although admittedly I don't know what that means.

Didn't Beardfish beat TMV in a poll a few months back?

So i'm prepared for the ridiculous outcome again.

If I did, it was too long ago in my history to remember it.
