Mulatu Astatke is not dub...It's ethio-jazz (ethiopian jazz).

If you want dub, try Dennis Bovell & the 4th Orchestra.
"Magma was the very first gothic rock band" (Didier Lockwood)

Thank you. I know he is not Dub, but ethio-jazz is a very narrow term, so i put dub to translate this sort of atmosphere.

This is obviously not dub, but neither is Mulatu:

Check out Egyptian jazz (Salah Ragab & The Cairo Jazz Band Present Egyptian Jazz - Ramadan In Space Time):

And Indian (Fabulous Notes and Beats of the Indian Carnatic -Jazz)

And Mulatus fellow countryman Hailu Mergia and the Walias (Mulatu is actually playing on this album, Tche Belew)

I haven't listened to any of those videos, but Scientist is the best of dub, specifically the album Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires.

Not dub. Sounds like Dance Hall music to me. This has stuff like that on it: http://www.savagejaw.co.uk/trojan/trbcd007.htm
