Fool's Mate may not be the ultimate Hammill album...but it's a bundle of fun, especially considering it's Hammill.

I find the pony spam to be far more annoying than Walter ever was, and we all know how annoying Walter was.

He's gradually getting more and more plays. Like it more than VdGG, that's for sure.

Hey Linus.  Good to see you around these parts.  It has been a while.  I'm doing pretty good.  My Tigers (see avatar) have made the playoffs this year, so that brings me much joy.  Although I do seem to be getting crustier as I get older and am finding myself annoyed much easier than I used to.

I think I'll try DT's latest since it's on Spotify.

I honestly suffered from withdrawal syndromes when they had problems with the new update. I had to wait three hours to get it working! LOL

What is the story behind Zess? It's a completely unique Magma track, i've not heard anything similar from Magma. Is it just a Vander solo piece he did a few times with Magma?

No wiki or online mentions of it either

Interesting.  VDGG hasn't grown on me yet.  Admittedly, I haven't played them recently.  I have a couple of his solo albums.  They're OK, but nothing that I have had a huge urge to reach for.  I've not heard his first one, but Nadir's Big Chance was pretty good.

I've always had a bit of a problem with both. Should love, but don't. Seems to be changing, though.

You might like Fool's Mate. A bit more light-hearted and varied compared to the usual compact bleakness.

I'm going to be screwed when my first six months are up...right now, I still get unlimited hours per month, but when that happens...well, I'll probably cry a lot and then end up going for the $5/month package. LOL

Ah, but the only thing which is almost tempting in premium is the "enhanced sound quality" and I don't even know how "enhanced" it would be...I don't have a phone which is compatible with Spotify, nor is my Zune, and I don't care about offline playlists and such. LOL  Hard to justify paying 2x the price of Unlimited for one thing which I can probably live without.

I see now that the "enhanced" is 320 kbps instead of 160.  I'm usually fine with 160, so I'm not swayed by the 320.
