I don´t have their albums, but I listen a lot to them on YoutubeEmbarrassed
If I was to start with one of their albums I would either get The Isness:

And then suddenly they sound like thisLOL:

OR The Peppermint Tree:

I think they deserve credit for redressing Indian and psych music in a wonderful and original way.

ok, thanks for the androgynous recommendations.

I am currently browsing youtube for random Death songs. I read also the wikipedia page on Chuck Schuldiner, this guy was so modest and far from the image the average guy makes of a metalhead. Similarly to the late great Dio. It's a shame he died so young, for lack of money to have a brain surgery. His mother also stated liking his music.

All that time spent away from Scotland is clearly proving that you´re totally out of the loopLOL Oh my things have changed...

It´s a sad story. I basically grew up listening to this and Obituary, Ulver, Napalm Death, Cynic, Neurosis, Cannibal Corpse, Type O Negative and Slayer. The best way I knew how to get all my frustrations out - was to throw myself into mushpits during concerts, only leaving when my shirt was ripped to pieces. Afterwards you´d feel completely gentle and soft like a gummy bear that´s been left out in the sun for too long.

Destined Solitaire is by far their best.
