I liked the song, i just think that it's centered around the drums too much. The other instruments seem underdeveloped and boring.

It's cool to hear how talented he is though.

Yeah, the drumming is kind of the lead instrument in their earlier stuff. On the album American Don it's more evened out though I find.

I've heard American Don before, but i don't recall it too much. Might give it another listen to see if you're right.

If you want a more insane, loud, and dissonant album where the drums are the forefront, go for Don Caballero 2. If you want it to be a little more restrained and focused, try out American Don.

Thank you very much, yes, if what you say is true I will be most likely checking out this "Don Cabellero 2" you speak of.

I love Don Caballero Heart Heart Heart Heart Heart

American Don is the zenith of math rock.  Let it be known.

Don Cab 2 is also really good, it's got a lot more elements of garage rock and noise rock in it.  Kind of more chaotic.  American Don is more blissful and happy.

Quite fine, just recovering from the pain of acknowledging that the linear storyline in FFXIII is pissing me off.

Yeah, the fact you don't get any kind of freedom (and even so, not much freedom) until really late in the game is a pissoff. However, the battle system is up there with their best.

I need to hear Don Cab.  I have/had one of their albums but I think it's on my external drive that may have gone poof.  I'll see if it's on here.

Oh yey, American Don is on my drive.  Yey.

But I need to finish my Polar Bear play throughs first.

Don Cab is a bit cold-sounding for my taste.

The only Math Rock I've heard is not solely Math Rock.  Ahleuchatistas, Upsilon Acrux and Cheval de Frise.  I love Upsilon Acrux so damned much though!  Mmm.  My ears hurt after I saw them live too. LOL

Almost forgot Muddy World too.

I like my Math Rock sans vocal though to be honest.

Post/Math isn't my genre, really. Although I can dig on Godpseed and Sigur Ros.

Also, I'm finally giving the two Sloche albums much-deserved relistens. Amazing stuff.
