That's how all artists are added to the database here you know. Someone suggests an artist for an inclusion, what appears to be the best suited genre team have their say, and say yes, no, or pass it on to what they feel are a better suited team.

The only thing I'm doing here is shedding a bit of light on that process by way of those comments.

Christian Brendel & Zomb (Not in PA database)

Les Peuple des Songes (2007)
Imprint: Musea

Track list:
1 - L'Instant - (1'12)
2 - Odyssées - (15'46)
3 - Les Pas Du Temps - (13'02)
4 - Dune - (7'32)
5 - De L'Autre Côté - (13'18)
6 - En Attendant La Pluie - (9'36)
7 - La Mille Et Deuxième Nuit - (8'47)

Label info:
No more doubt about it: there is anger in this music, a real rage to live and express straightforwardly strong and raw emotions ! Stemming from LA ZOMBIE ET SES BISONS, here is the third effort of this outfit, in collaboration with the Musea label: ZOMB "Le Peuple Des Songes" (2007). This brilliant opus offers the initiatory journey that pure souls will undertake by choosing a good armchair. It will actually be appropriate to let oneself go, to get lost there, take the opportunity to feel the blow of time pass by and get immersed within the voyage exhilaration. This time, this blow is guided by a voice, that of comedian Christian BRENDEL who takes us away to the heart of his own burning and irradiating vision. This universe richness creates the fusion of colours, landscapes and climates. This is actual Progressive rock with roots in the inheritance of forerunner bands such as KING CRIMSON, GONG, MAGMA or Frank ZAPPA. Interesting, isn't it ?

Paolo Baltaro (Rejected for inclusion in the PA database)

Low Fare Flight to the Earth (2008)
Imprint: Musea

Track list:
1 - Good Care - (4'07)
2 - Sunny Days - (3'49)
3 - I'm Checking Out - (4'37)
4 - Nowhere Street - (4'11)
5 - Manchester - (4'49)
6 - You'll Never Die On Me - (3'21)
7 - Low Fare Flight To The Earth - (2'52)
8 - Italian Guns - (3'20)
9 - Get Home - (4'02)
10 - Goodnight Paris - (11'15)

Label info:
Paolo BALTARO is an experienced and talented Italian musician, singer, songwriter and producer from ARCANSIEL, and also involved in the bands MHMM and SADO. For this first solo album, he is joined by numerous guests, on guitars, violin, bass, saxophone... Like THE HEALING ROAD, our man has chosen a CD and LP combined release, with a new system for improvement of digital audio tracks ("Rewave System"), which allows a combination of high digital quality with the warmth of the analog vinyl sound. These nine songs (Plus one bonus on the CD) are a mix of pop-rock, Progressive rock colours on keyboards, and aggressive and powerful sequences ala PORCUPINE TREE. Paolo BALTARO's voice, raucous and expressive, and his talent of producer, give the album a strong personality and musical high level. An excellent collection of worked-out songs.

Time Zero (Not in PA database)

Outcasts of Civilization (2010)
Imprint: Musea

Track list:
1 - Children Of No Name - (4'31)
2 - Conflagration - (6'57)
3 - Fields Of Tears - (4'37)
4 - Revenge - (4'19)
5 - Vanguard - (5'57)

7 - Urgent Solution - (4'34)
8 - Human Intrusion - (4'01)
9 - Conflict Of Interest - (5'04)
10 - Manifesto - (6'01)

Label info:
TIME ZERO is a cosmopolitan current band, located in the United States of America and centered around guitarist David QUICHO, drummer Mane CABRALES and bassist Andrea MASTRIGLI. The three musicians aim at performing an instrumental Progressive rock, strongly influenced by heavy-metal, but also by a current jazz-rock trend. The result is "Outcasts Of Civilization" (Musea, 2010), an explosive and colorful album, somewhere between LIQUID TENSION EXPERIMENT and ATTENTION DEFICIT. Let's notice some prestigious guests, starting with keyboardists Matt GUILLORY (DALI'S DILEMMA, James LaBRIE...) and Alex ARGENTO (Vivien LALU, Joop WOLTERS...), mixed at the front. The casting is completed by guitar players Brett GARSED (Derek SHERININAN, NELSON...), Ty TABOR (KING'S X) and T.J. HELMERICH (ZAPPA PLAYS ZAPPA, NELSON...). Just awesome !

18 - Minimalistik - (2'46)
19 - White Moon (II. Part Two) - (3'50)

Label description:
Patrice CHARTOL is the front man of TEKNICOLOR, the band that issued "LNA's Dream" at the beginning of the New Millenium. This bass-keyboards player was also helped by two singers and a flutist in order to create a musical trip in time and space through nineteen suggestive and oneiric tracks. This aerie Progressive rock style with an ethnic feeling also shows some classical influences (FAURE, RAVEL...). This musician presents a collection of works close to those of VANGELIS or Klaus SCHULZE, the true masters of electronic music.

Olav.

If you don't mind, I will grab Oneira from the Musea stable for an evalution in the Symph Prog team.

What the blurb says:  The Progressive rock band Oneira has been formed in Italy by composer/guitarist and bass player Filippos Gougoumis in 2010. The current bandmembers are Erik Spedicato on drums, Giampaolo Begnoni on keys and Vincent King as guest vocalist. The debut album "Natural Prestige" contains 10 songs, out of which 4 are instrumental. The rest of the songs comes with deep emotional lyrics, dealing with goals to achieve in life, adventures in space, or the beauty of nature and the peace of the sea. For the making of the album Filippos teamed up with producer Oliver Philipps (Everon) and producer/engineer Christian "Moschus" Moos (Everon/Spacelab Studio). While Oliver arranged the songs and appears as special guest (keys, guitars, vocals), Moschus mixed the album and also did part of the recordings. The rest had been recorded in Italy already before Filippos came over to Germany to finish the album. The style of the music is progressive rock, with the focus on melodies and atmospheres, not on technical wizzardry. It may be best compared to the earlier works of bands such as Genesis or Yes, but may as well appeal to people who like bands like Rush, Styx or Journey.

But keep up your excellent work and let the albums and bands flow to these pages. Clap

I've got Kehell's album, related to a Japanese Neo band Orpheus. Shugekazu Kamaki, an Orpheus' founder, formed this project soon after Orpheus disbanded.

D'Ici Et D'Ailleurs (2005)
Imprint: Musea

Track list:
1 - Chant Sous Les Océans - (7'10)
2 - L'Apprenti-Sorcier - (5'50)
3 - Les Noces Noires - (5'28)
4 - Hélas - (3'50)
5 - Un Chat Sur Le Toit - (5'15)
6 - Le Funambule - (4'44)
7 - Voleurs D'Ames - (4'55)
8 - Zone Rouge - (3'56)
9 - Celia - (6'19)
10 - Les Hordes - (5'25)
11 - Le Chaman - (7'00)
12 - Frère - (7'41)
13 - Voyage Dans Les Silences - (4'21)

Label info:
The French group EXODE is led by singer-songwriter Roland LELONG, who once shared the stage with one famous Seventies theatrical Progressive rock band from the city of Belfort: ANGE. It is no surprise if the current sextet chose the musical style of the latter, including the title of one of its most renowned tracks. Published by the Musea label, "D'Ici Et D'Ailleurs" (2005) can be considered as being directly connected with the music created by ANGE and MONA LISA. The theatrical singing shines all over that first album, developing poetic lyrics about fairy and mythology. Between the Mellotron, the organ and the flute, nothing is missing to pursue the Seventies' spirit. Nevertheless, EXODE is clever enough to revisit this universe with a refreshing enthusiasm. This is great stuff indeed, who'll surely enchant Seventies French Progressive rock lovers. Not to be missed !

Sorry for the delay, approved in Symphonic
