Has anyone heard of this japanese metal band from the 80s?
Prog archives doesn't list them as being a "progressive" band but they definitely have some prog-y songs that are worth a listen. Art of Life (28:59) http://grooveshark.com/s/Art+Of+Life/3lnNsJ?src=5 Rose of Pain (11:50) http://grooveshark.com/s/Rose+Of+Pain/43PYCQ?src=5 Kurenai (6:18) http://grooveshark.com/s/Kurenai/3LGYXD?src=5 And also, if you learn to play the intros to Rose of Pain and Kurenai on guitar, ladies will flock to you.

This should be in General Music Discussions. Ladies already flock to me. I have to beat them with a stick to keep them away.

Indeed, not the right forum this one.
I am only familiar with them because of Yoshiki's collaboration with Roger Taylor on Foreign Sand. |

I like the Art of Life. Great track.
But yes, wrong forum. I'll ask for a move.

I remember having listened to an album of theirs that sounded very Helloween-like. They belong to the visual kei current, they may have some prog influences but they are not prog. What I heard from them was quite good.

I'm a bit of a fan, I have a couple of albums but nothing tops Art of Life.
