On my book wishlist I've got Burroughs, Machado de Assis, Bret Easton Ellis, Joćo Cabral de Melo Neto and Cormac McCarthy.

I'm sure you can find a copy of The Soft Machine?  I was surprised to find it myself but I then I was in a half-decent bookshop at the time.

Don't think so, at least in my city. I may exaggerate, but I don't think we went past selling Penguin Classics in original.
