Neptune by Celluloid. Celluloid was Chuck Minuto on mellotron. He was about 18 when he recorded the album. A entire album's worth of mellotron originally released in 1983. I'm not sure if he was the first artist to produce a entire album of mellotron? Chuck was supposedly autistic and had an amazing talent. He now lives in one of the New England states and has not been active in music for years. This album is often featured on websites for electronic music and is an outstanding work that features strange sound effects such as hellish voices, squeaking doors, Nazi soliders marching, a few voices of the famous Warner Brothers cartoon characters, hellish laughter and much more. The arrangements cross between Avant-Garde and electronic prog. This is truly one of a kind. If you like mellotron....you should invest in this.

So far, I found two titles in a blog by this same artist. "Mercury" and "Neptune". Don't know if he has any more but this sounds very interesting.

Interestingly, it seems that with the release of Aokigahara this one is no longer free.  Although I bought the cd a long time ago.

edit: it seems to be an error with their bandcamp, because Wellington EP and Live On KXLU are supposed to be free too.

This band is called The Nocturns. Only found one song. Very strange album art but I like the music.

One of my favorite Baltimore bands, but their singer Bryan Jack is one of the biggest a****les I have ever met in my life(I actually got in a fistfight with him at a club here in town called The Zu).
