Update: The website now has the tracklisting and audio samples. I have to say it sounds absolutely amazing. I can't wait!
Oh and you can listen to an entire track from the album here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DevSBj_iF4A One more thing I found out: According to Steven's Facebook post, Steve Hackett from Genesis is playing guitar on the album including the song I posted above! Also, Gavin Harrison is not featured on the album. Instead, Nic France is handling drum duties. Just thought you might want to know! Edited by adace1 - July 19 2011 at 18:12 |

Hmmm! Sounds very promising. I've actually been tiring of PT in the last few years. I didn't even get FOABP until after The Incident was released. I'm still not impressed with most of Incident. Though I was listening to Deadwing today and liked it quite a bit.
Interesting his comment about metal. I am also tiring of metal sounds in prog being the only way latter-day bands seem to be able to be "heavy". I look forward to some non-metal heavy from Mr. Wilson! Frank |

I've heard that about hypothermia too, but I am pretty sure drowning is excruciating.

Wow, I really enjoyed Remainder The Black Dog. I'll be picking up the new album when it comes out.

1. Basically he know people who have survived drowning. 2. Basically he has never heard prog in the last 30 years. 3. Same reaction as HP 4. Though I agree ADD is over-diagnosed these days, this just sounds too generic, cliche. 5. I prefer nintendo. His next album will probably put me to sleep like Insurgentes did. Where is the Steven Wilson of In Absentia or Deadwing? Where? By the way that "jazz drummers solo all the time" thing is priceless...

I like the KC influence on this record. Hopefully it'll be great.

Sounds like he reconnected with the more improvisational approach of PT and IEM in the 90s, but at the same time it's different again. Can't wait, could easily become one of my fav Wilson releases! |

Really looking forward to this!
Also, I think it will be refreshing to hear him with another drummer. Gavin is a fantastic drummer, and he works very well in PT, but if Steven wants to keep an original approach, this might be the way to do it. Mostly because Gavin has a very distinct sound, and you instantly think PT when it´s glued together with Steven´s vocals and guitars.
