Listening to a Merzbow album is a positively purifying experience. Smile

'tis a shame it's a bit of an average album.

Live it's fantastic though.  Just not as a studio recording.  It needs Om Zanka in it too.

Yeah, I don't know why I chose the studio recording.

Most live versions are awesome.

The studio version is a bit dull.

Usually that is the case except with Emehntehtt-Ré which is better as a studio album than as a live album.  In my opinion, anyhow.

I just prefer it.  It's a perfect studio album.

I also thought the studio version is a bit bland, good to know live it sounds better (well, what doesn't sound better live for Magma?)

Well the Om Zanka part greatly adds to the live versions too.

The live versions tend to have more vocals.  Obviously still not loads but more than the studio version which was severely lacking in that Magma vocal sound.

E-Re is perfect as a studio album, and being lucky to see them multiple times, I can testify that it took them a long time to perfect E-Re as a live performance. But by the last time I saw them, E-Re was already better than in studio. Mind-blowing experience. Heart That was in 2010, probably a couple of years after you saw them.

Well at least you don't go around making derogatory remarks about it, so I'm perfectly fine with all this. Smile
