There are a humble selection of bands from my collection, which I like and which are more or less influenced or inspired by whichever era of mighty Crimson.

I´m really curious for your preferences, though I´ve got a secret tip for a winner.

My vote is for After Crying, although their influence by King Crimson is only partial in several albums, for example:

Anglagard are the pick of that crop, but I'm not convinced that KC had much influence on them as they're very good.

I see much more Yes/Genesis in them.

After Crying, Anglagard and Fromuz are my favorite in the list. They are three bands so I don't vote.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Jakszyk, Fripp, Collins Tongue

You managed to hit on a long lists of artists I know not.

Djam Karet comes to mind first.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

But Gabriel clearly stated, that what inspired him to move from POP to Tresspass, was In the Court....
So KC inspired Peter who inspired Anglagaard Beer

Seriusly, i think they know every Prog and Prog related band from before (and after) 79'
So they are no doubt inspired from everyone. I think they made a very own sound, and to pinpoint if more Yes than KC or Tull than Genesis, is hard to do.

Morte macabre! I would vote Anekdoten. But they already have 5 votes. So, I "helped" Morte macabre because it was a good project.

I think that he means the grunge rock band. Because of the clown face.

Yes, I´ve understood him. But neither Nirvana is influenced by King Crimson, it´s a bad joke, despite of clown face.
