Sorry, I didn't see your reply. Only if you feel like! It's just a suggestion. Also thanks to this thread I got to check out both the albums by And So I Watch You From Afar. That was a neat idea. The new album is nowhere near as effin' brilliant as the debut, but still very good. Excellent find overall. |

Found this yesterday:

When it comes to Math rock, I've always been a fan of Don Cabellero:

A new project from the net label Asiluum (which gave us free albums by
White Walls, Extinction Algorithm, Semiosis, Discordless):
Environments. Ten splendid minutes of drone/post-rock, free download.

I thought Gangs was on par with the debut. They successfully captured a more "fun" and accessible sound, while maintaining their aggressive energy and weirdness. Also their Letters EP is really good, if only for the first track |

I'm so mad that you enjoy a certain combination of noises that I don't

^ didn't know about the EP, I'll check it out.
Also, check out the newly added Vampillia and Battlestations. Vampillia are one of the most interesting bands in recent years; they play both loonier GY!BE-like stuff and avant-metal like that of Unexpect. Battlestations are a nice atmospheric/ambient band, and they give their CD for free in exchange for reviews (see here). |

New Dirge is fantastic, one of the best post metal albums i've heard recently. New Caïna is very good, i like it. The Seven Mile Journey's new album is enjoyable listen, it doesn't bring new concepts but still very good stuff.

Those who like Long Distance Calling (and I've seen there are quite a few!) need to check out the newly added Vessels.
