Sorry if I'm being harsh to some people here, but this is nowhere near my concept of prog rock, I'm afraid the term "prog rock" has stretched too far if we are including this music into it.
I'm glad your definition of "prog rock" is not universal. To me it's rock that ventures beyond the boundaries and conventions of rock itself.

People I used to work at, at music stores who are generally indie music fans would appreciate Kayo Dot, but would laugh at Spock's Beard or the Flower Kings I imagine (too much melody and sincerity).
Fixed.
Speaking of derp...

HE GETS IT!!!

I responded to your remark "out on a limb...blah blah". I have already answered on his comments (er, to which you responded, I presume).
I think you should re-read the above posts.

Uh, what?  Obviously I do know that strangers on the internet do not constitute people one knows. But since Triceratopsoil was, well, kind enough to state that specifically, I said that that was not what I had addressed.  Now what is the confusion here?

The fact that you are telling me things you mean to tell QuestionableScum.

I only explained what I was driving at because you seemed not to understand...I never insinuated that you had yourself made those points.

What is going on is you made a comment on a discussion you weren't involved in and you got my position wrong in that comment so I had to clarify. It's over and done with.

Not his opinion, his bad spelling and grammar. I was hoping he was a non-English speaker rather than just a retard.

There isn't a single serious error in his post, and any slight issues they may be can definitely be attributed to typos.  Furthermore, use of the word "retard" in this context is even more offensive than your previous post.

f**k, I said I was going to stop arguing with the averages.

Your use of "derp" refers to retards. Drop the phony-pc attitude.

My use of "derp" does not, in fact, have anything to do with those that are developmentally challenged.  Not only is it a quote of yourself from a different thread in which you made an ass of yourself, but the word itself is related to stupidity and NOT mental handicaps.  Are you ignorant, or just a thoroughly offensive individual?

Has anyone ever tried Nike shoes?

You might be surprised at the amount of support you can get for only $90.

The only retarded in this thread isn't QuestionableScum.

Retard is an acceptable noun.

Deciding that you wish you were in a free improv band halfway through the song still doesn't sound much like venturing beyond the boundaries and conventions of rock to me.

I have always seen "derp" as a means to imply a "retard moment". I also didn't intend my use of the word "retard" to be taken so deadly literal... always a mistake around here.

Besides, why is that more offensive than "the averages"...

Besides, Polo's usage of retarded in this here sentence is incorrect.

"Averages" in regards to musical taste.

But he, unlike QuestionableScum, is ESL and has a valid reason to be confused about English's terrible grammar conventions.

People who like cheesy neo-prog don't piss me off, they're just listening to music that I don't enjoy, and hey, it really is just a matter of opinion. It's the people with their last.fm accounts listening to Faust and Beefheart trying to act like they're listening to some deep music that you'll never understand that piss me off.
That's nothing against people who actually enjoy these artists, which I'm sure there are, but man some people just come off with this subtle sense of superiority nawmeaaaaan?
I'm so mad that you enjoy a certain combination of noises that I don't

Kidding?  Faust makes a lot of beautiful music.  Let me guess, you listened to their debut once.
