Let's be realistic, there's no pride in giving up video games if you're transplanting it with caring much more about pony subculture.

I'm having uncontrollable orgasms over Deus Ex: Human Revolution and ES V: Skyrim.

Caring about pony is so much better than caring about games.

Nooo, you're letting Pixar win! Although maybe it's borderline since the game is apparently better than the movie: it has a 75 on Metacritic while the move has a 57.

It's not pride, I feel like I've moved on (barring the occasional two hours on a stupid flash game). I do admit I feel like I've outgrown it, but I don't mean that in a judgemental or condescending way.

I don't really feel there's a point to "moving on", at least not a universally applicable reason. If you don't like to play vidya, then that's fine, but it's still a perfectly valid thing to do with your spare time. I'll be glad when older people who really don't understand video games get out of the spotlight so everyone can just be more reasonable and experienced reasonable about things. I got into an argument with my mother about that video game ruling by the supreme court. neither of my parents have ever played a video game as long as I've been alive, and I doubt watching Oprah talk about them makes them experts.

I love Pixar, but I have a bad feeling this one is going to be a stinker.

We can accept that kids movies are usually a 90 minute commercial- fine.

But Cars is pretty blatant about moving merchandise.  There's a scene in the first movie where Mater blows a bubble.  It lasts 1.5 seconds.  There is a toy of Mater blowing a bubble.  Stern Smile

So it seems to me that Cars 2 is going to give Disney an excuse to churn out as many variations of Mater as possible.

Cars 2 was okay but I liked the Toy Story short that was on before it way more.

Just finished a webliography on Information Technology Infrastructure Library process mapping.

Now I have to write a 2-page paper about it, which I should be able to knock out in about 30-min. So I'm doing it later.

I need more games like Fatal Frame. I love that game series so much.

Also, LITE's new album is good:

I feel like playing video games is more pointless than not, but quite a lot of the things I do are pointless.

Cars has made $10 billion in merchandising since its release, Cars 2 exists only because Pixar wants more of that insane money.
