Yeah, it's such an absurdly large game, I love that they put so much effort into making it so immersive.

I was going to mow the lawn, but then I got high realized the grass was wet and I didn't have enough gasoline.

I still play games that are 15 years old.  Yesterday I restarted Siege of Avalon.  Flawed but fun.

I play some Square Enix games from the late 90's/early 00's once in a while. Legend of Mana and Chrono Cross are so good.

I remember playing through Chrono Trigger for the first time.  Wow.

It was so good I was able to get over the whole time travel thing.

I always thought Oblivion looked really cool, though I've never played it, but everyone kept telling me it sucked.

It's the only game I'm very good at.

The first time I played it, I hated it.  The first person view made combat difficult (tough to judge depth).

I actually wound up selling it (I think) and found it many months (maybe years) later in a discount bin for super cheap, so I bought it again and was hooked for quite some time.

Edit: I'm referring to Morrowind, not Oblivion- sorry.  I've not played the latter.

Oblivion has aged very poorly, but it still sh*ts on Fallout 3 in pretty much every regard.

@Alan: F.E.A.R is only 9.99 on Steam with both expansions. Bioshock is good too, although I thought it was lacking overall. Bioshock and Fallout 3 are on sale on Steam right now too.

I just discovered Steam about an hour ago, and it seems cool. I'll probably buy a game or two soon, though I'm scared to do so because I don't want to be distracted from my school.

Oblivion is like Morrowind but with a better combat system (aka, when you swing your sword at someone, it hits, instead of somehow mysteriously phasing through their flesh, leaving them completely unharmed).  Story...not quite as good, game, not quite as long, but I almost prefer it because I always got so frustrated fighting in Morrowind.

Steam is indeed a great service. Also, check out the demo to Star Ruler if you're into empire management/strategy at all, most addicting game I've played in months. Been playing for the past 4 hours or so.

I remember getting excited about new video games and new systems.

I can't even make myself care anymore.  And something about that saddens me.

Indeed, the Morrowind fighting was horrible in parts. I reinstalled earlier this year and just used the console to raise my Luck to 100, making it impossible not to hit. I actually enjoyed the first 6 hours of leveling/fighting that way

I've just downloaded Steam and I'm now about to check the demos section.
