Thanks Rob. The largest gun-control debate was in Slarti's thread about him being pulled over by the police, but I think you posted the article in a newer occurence of the discussion, which happened in a thread that I can't remember the name. I hope it was the News thread, I'm heading that way.

It was a good article, and I need to show it to someone who believes Europe is a crime-free heaven.

Well, I can't think of too many other things to buy. I'd like a tiny minimal audio recorder to use for concerts I attend or record my own rehearsals; a new camera for the family is pretty much a matter of months, but dad said that I'll travel with his new, 4000RON D-SLR over his dead body; I wouldn't mind a camcorder for the above reasons (w. audio), especially after I screwed up recording that concert of Piazolla or Travka's party back in February.

IDK, I turn out to be pretty much a scrooge when it comes to spending. I already think 40-50RON 200-page books are expensive and when I hand over the yellow bill, something inside me weeps.

I just watched Kill Bill Vol.1, I think that movie is about as beautiful as something that blood-splattered can be.

I think the Kill Bill films are the worse movies Tarantino directed, but they're still quite good.

BUT THAT'S JUST MY OPINION

I've only got Pulp Fiction to see, is it worse than KB? Tongue
Oh wait, I wasn't exactly thrilled by Jackie Brown.

Pulp Fiction is second only to Reservoir Dogs. Inglorious Basterds takes the third place.

Awesome, Rob! Your detective skills are more and more evident (as shown by the Robbed thread too). Thanks for the PM, I had already started digging the News Thread and I wouldn't have checked the Shred for a while.

Thanks a lot.

I'd buy a video camera with the 1000  euros you have; getting 300 for a new compact camera wouldn't be a problem for another time, but 1000 don't come around that often. But that would be just me. And maybe 1000 isn't even enough for a decent camera, I don't know.

Also, don't put many hopes in the video recording abilities of the photo camera, they usually suck more or less (hopefully less for Nikon than for Panasonic).

Hmm, another thing I'd do with 1000 bucks would be to visit a place I've never been before.

Agi, I think the guy who did that doesn't care.

I need a real desktop PC with acceptable HD space and RAM, a soundcard and a nice set of headphones.
