Absolutely.......the problem is you people call them "pop" songs. Open your mind, clear all your thoughts and go to that happy place  ...they are good songs...none of them are the worst songs.

I couldn't put it better myself. The only things that are "rubbish" or "worst" are those of the writer's personal perception. One person's crap is another's gold dust. I love Collins era Genesis. They have given me years of pleasure. I have tracks I personally dislike (Illegal Alien & Whodunnit spring to mind), but, in essence, they remained a great rock band who have brought joy to millions of people. Is that such a bad thing? |
if I want to open my mind, clear my thoughts and enjoy being in some place, Collins era Genesis will definitely not follow me there. crap is crap even if millions people like it. if someone like later Genesis, that's ok with me. if someone asks my opinion (as quite often is the case here) I'll answer ... to be honest I'm little bit tired of all these Genesis polls ....

I don't have a problem with all the Genesis polls.......I just wonder did I miss something?? Why are there so many Genesis polls all of sudden?

Well that's my point......those millions of people listen to Bieber because they like it. If you tell them its crap, that means nothing, that's your opinion only. And guess what, those millions of people will disagree with your opinion.
The better answer is just to say......I don't listen to that artist/music/genre......rather than say its crap.
