Why did they unsticky that Post Rock thread Alex? Am I right in thinking if it was the "Free Symphonic and Neo-Prog Index" it'd still have one? Wink

Hmmm, for the past 20 minutes or so, the only websites I was able to access were Google related (anything Google, Blogger, Youtube), every other site had some error about my DNS or something. Happened across my entire network. WHAT IS THIS BLACK MAGIC.

There are no other websites.  Please report to your nearest re-education center.

but it is remarkable that they might have borrowed a piano riff from the american (or canadian) singer/songrwriter Vanessa Carlton

not very clear but the piano line is very similar (and on a side note Vanessa have perfect pitch so which gives here a edge on many artists)

an yes this song came before the Haken song

okey not obvious similaritys but they start on the same chords and the tone/mood and tempo is similar

Well I was accurate in my prediction this would be no better than Magnification. Magnification was better if anything because it didn't feel like a forced Prog effort. "Good but easily avoidable"

I can hear the similarities, and it only makes me like Haken less.

It irritates me that prog metal gets its own sticky Prog News because 1) no other genre does 2) people make threads about prog metal news anyway so it's completely pointless.

Mark, my links are supposed to be long, they're there to fill the yawning emptiness of your life. If your life isn't empty enough to read four pages about working at an Indian call center then congratulations! You don't need to click any link that doesn't include me laughing.

My life is definitely empty enough to do so several times a day. But my life is this empty precisely because I have no motivation to do things that require effort, such as Reading Four Pages About Working At An Indian Call Center.

Also I hadn't noticed that before. That is annoying but not in the least bit surprising
