Well OSI probably isn't your cup of tea so I understand why. And he was just a guest singer, so even if you did follow him I doubt that was massive news. It's Kevin Moore and Jim Matheos' band, so Akerfeldt really isn't a huge part of it.
Although Moore does uses a lot of ambient/electro stuff in his music. When your in an experimental or metal mood, I recommend you check them out.

I've listened to a few tracks from that album and I liked it, though it didn't really seem to be prog in my opinion.

OSI's debut was f**king fantastic, kinda stale after that though. Chroma Key is where Kevin Moore really shines/is all Godly.
Also, I want to listen to music but nothing seems to feel right to listen to right now. Lame.
