Ah, I see - you're surprised by the low number (must be a idiomatic difference between Engish and Americanish, here if you're surprised by a number the it implies a high number).

Yup, good ol American Saturn. It's made in Tennessee and not even Mexico/Canada like other American cars I try to walk as much as possible (for environmental and health reasons), but sometimes we gotta drive...so sorry nature. When we get the ability to root ourselves and live off the earth I'll do that

The saga of Brian's vehicles: #1 - dark blue Ford Gran Torino, paid cash, met it's demise when an old driver coming the opposite direction made a bad left turn in front of me. #2 - light blue Ford Gran Torino, paid cash, met it's demise just because it was old and the engine started burning oil rather bad. #3 - silver/gray Nissan Pickup, first loan, had it a few months before it was stolen and stripped, got it back though. Got sideswiped by a BMW when I was trying to get over due to my fuel pump acting up. The BMW veered off into a gas station and took out a pump. Met it's demise when I was rear ended by an alien on Halloween. (No not that kind of alien.) #4 - red Nissan Pickup, cash and insurance money. Lasted just a few months before I got t-boned trying to beat a yellow light. The lady coming the opposite way freaked out and got out of her car and let it go on rolling down the highway. #5 - white Nissan Pickup, king cab, cash and insurance money, got a few good years out of it until the house flood. Barely got it out of the water in time but to no avail. The water it did take on caused the transmission to go out in a couple of weeks and take the engine with it despite having taken it to a shop after the flood rescue. Replaced those only for it to meet it's demise a month or so later in a head on. #6 - gray/silver Nissan Pickup, they only make extended cab versions these days. Knock on metal. Had to take out a loan for it.

I had a 1991 Honda Accord before the power steering failed which lead to my brother going over a curb and f**king it all up.
Probably going to get an mx5 as my next car or if I can afford it an rx8 (environmentalist be damned!).
I also used to have a Kawasaki ninja 250 before a douchebag in a Tacoma backed into it at a parking lot. Got $3k for it which is not bad considering I only paid $1500 or so for it.

It seems as though you need to spend more time watching the road and less time listening to music while you are driving. Which albums were playing at the time of the above demises?

The most recent one may have been to Porcupine Tree's Your Unpleasant Family. (I think that is the one where his car gets smashed up.)

I'd not buy a Gran Torino or a Nissan Pickup. Try something else.

Not entirely sure except for one of the crashes. I was listening to Soft Machine's Spaced when I was t-boned in the red pu.

I'm kinda thinking that now that I'm on number four what are the odds of having another one wiped out? I suspect it will come in the form of some kind of freak accident. By the way, in the crash of the white nissan I was listening to Big Big Train's English Boy Wonders and the Airbag didn't really save my life. In fact it misdeployed and my face hit the steering wheel. The lid popped off but I got a lung full of airbag gas which I had a severe allergic reaction to.

Actually, being wiped out by a BMW isn't a bad thing. More BMWs should be involved in accidents (with no injuries sustained, of course).

The BMW had to be towed but my truck started up OK and I drove home despite the malfunctioning fuel pump.

I've reversed into a few BMWs. My rear bumper is usually fine but theirs usually gets scratched.

2011 Nissan Altima. I've had it for a little over a month. So far so good.
