In fact I liked geometry a lot, and I was pretty good at it. I sucked at all the other highschool level mathematical disciplines (especially trigonometry, calculus and advanced algebra), and without geometry I wouldn't have passed the "bacalaureat", the highschool final exam (without which you can't apply for uni admission). I got a 6 out of 10 at maths, the mandatory minimum required.
Truth be told, I heard that most of what we did in highschool is studied during uni in the West.

I didn't like geometry even though I passed, possibly because I switched schools during the class and my teachers sucked. Trig was pretty easy though, it was one of the easiest A's I got in high school, but maybe it wasn't because my teacher said only a few kids actually knew what they were doing.  I didn't take calc. in high school because I wasted too much time. My algebra 2/trig/pre-calc teacher was pretty awesome, but she is in Hong Kong now.
