From the band's website (http://fromgreatheight.blogspot.com/p/about-us.html):
"From Great Height are a four-piece band hailing from Enfield, North London. Formed with the goal to create a distinctive, yet familiar style of rock music. Drawing influence from the heavier, more progressive bands of the 70's, the epic synth sounds from the early 80s and contemporary songwriting styles. The results are a dynamic and melodic sound".

Just heard the track "Spectres At The Feast" from the 2010 EP 'FGH' played on the Prog Dog Radio Show, and was well impressed with it. This band have been around since the end of 2007, playing regularly in and around London, and gradually building up a loyal following. They supported Touchstone a week or so ago at The Peel in Kingston, and have recently been nominated for the 'Best New/Unsigned Band' category in "Classic Rock Presents: Prog" magazine.

The band's facebook page is: http://www.facebook.com/fromgreatheight, and you can hear Spectres and two other tracks from an EP called "It Died A Quiet Death" at their soundcloud page: http://soundcloud.com/fromgreatheight

Update, 15 June 2011:-  All the tracks from both EPs can be downloaded for whatever you wish to pay for them from, in a wide choice of quality, at the band's bandcamp.com page: http://fromgreatheight.bandcamp.com/

It's taken them a while to get noticed, but I feel the force is now with them, and they are definitely one to watch out for in the coming months.
