Nothing. Been out of uni for what? A year now and yet Im about to pull an all nighter studying.
Something about what changes stays the same?

Also I trolled the silly hippies in that airplane ruining the air thread. As usual I am partly serious but I feel its one of my better trolls.
How ya doin Alex?

Thanks but I'm not opening that thread.

I'm OK, but not great. The cold I had left me with some sort of chronic tiredness, I didn't go out for 10 days now. I hope I managed to break this issue today. I even got up early.

How's the job going? And I guess you're serious about that MA?

If you want to hear my interpretation of the Warzawianka (spelling?) you may consider clicking on this link. (It even has vocals on it (and occasionally the vocals seem to match the melody a bit)! Shocked)

Ah man sorry to hear. That's rough. Well, best get off PA to give yourself a good chance of making it outside!
Job hasn't started yet, I need to take a state exam which I am tomorrow actually! Then it'll be starting in a few days after. I guess next week makes sense.

MA = master of arts, ie that thing you go through if you want to keep studying after you graduate LOL There's also MS, MBA or MPhil, but I thought I remember you saying you studied something from the social sciences area, so in that case it would be an MA for you.

I'd go out but the whether sucks.

Oh! I absolutely do plan to pursue that but in some time. The studying was just 200 some pages of health insurance info so I can pass the state exam Cry
Masters would be cool within 5 years, hopefully make some good $ then go crazy and get a doctorate so I can be a pompous college professor Shocked

I'm not sure how it works in other countries, many people, and here Ben seems like one, get their diploma then just keep going right into post grad. Is that how it often works?
Here in the da states it usually is not done so smoothly, unless you have the money for it which I dont.

Sucks man. You'll get outside one day! Hell except for one trip to the record store and some food outings I've been in my house for a whileLOL

Edit: Well I guess you can always do loans, but I have none to my name so I'd like to keep it that way

I think going from undergrad to postgrad is universal, the only difference in the States being that it costs so damn much. LOL But that's spreading around, too.

Well that's what I meant, is it usually so quick? Like how so many seem to go right from one to the other?
Most I've known here get their masters like mid to late 20s.
Since yeah its f**king expensive!

Yeah, going into post-grad right after graduating is the best because in case of a break it's hard to get back in academic mood. Myself I tried to take on studying again one year ago but failed miserably, I can't stay in a library all day and take notes anymore. Also, dunno how this is going worldwide, but in Europe undergrad is now only 3 years, so without postgrad you're basically worthless on the work market (in the knowledge-based areas, of course). The idea is that everyone should do a 3+2 cycle, the first three years being for getting basic knowledge and the next two years for getting specialized.

I f**ked up the last few quarters of undergrad, mostly due to my increasing depression.
Oh well.
