Just seen this so too late to 'listen again' on the BBC.  I don't suppose anyone recorded it?

I missed it but SM's show is pretty cool and he features some great music (he's given a lot of coverage to PH/VdGG, which is a big plus in my book). And where else can you hear Magma (possibly my second fave 70's avant band after VdGG) on the radio?

What did he play? (Y'know, I know I'm in the minority, but I really love Retrovision these days! I know it's not considered "classic" Magma, but I just think it's great although I know that parts of it are very Rocky Horror camp, though maybe not by design! It's kind of like Manhatten Transfer dropping acid on another planet)

I agree about Mr Maconie.  Indeed it was he who introduced me to Magma. It was MDK as featured album on the Freak Zone a couple of years ago that persuaded me to take the plunge and buy the box set of their studio albums.  And I've spent a lot on live albums and DVDs since...

You can still get the track listing for the show by going to the show's web page on BBC 6 Music.

I like Retrovision too.  In fact I can get some enjoyment out of pretty much everything they have released.  (I still haven't listened properly to Merci though...)

BTW VdGG are possibly my second fave avant band after Magma!
