You do not want to know what has happened on that face.

Burrs tend to migrate to the cold islands that lie south (or north) of the warmer ones. They get there by rolling across the ocean. When the burrs arrive, they are usually aged and brown due to the fact that once they have moved (fallen) from their parent (tree), they start to die, so logically these islands that they migrate to are often built up residential areas that house granny flats and such, they sit rugged up in chairs watching Days of Our Lives with a tissue box not too far away, they have dinner at 5:00 pm and go to bed not too much later.

Young green burrs like to hang out on the tree, their spikes are still strong and their stems are not yet broken, once they fall, a black briefcase usually accompanies. they wander in search of fabrics to cling onto, this is known as "the burr dream" some fortunate enough to make it will spend a short duration of their lives "on a hikers back", most burrs though will never make it that far and spend a good part of their lives just payin' off the puddle. If the puddle is in a driveway, they might get to be run over by a car or something of the sort, this is colloquially known to burrs as "scoring", once a burr has mated it will die as it has been squashed, but what would I know eh?
