I actually quite like Prince - well, what I've heard. I've heard most of Sign O' the Times and all of Purple Rain. My favorite song from him so far is 'The Cross'. I've been on a massive trip-hop/electronica/ambient/whatever binge since yesterday. I needed it. I'd been listening to this unbearable string of godawful folk pop albums (you know, the Carole King, Cat Stevens, Joni Mitchell, and Joan Baez albums nobody gives a damn about? The ones without hits? Those...) So I'm glad I could decompress my mind with this new (to me) music.

Without saying anything I shouldn't - I've too many musical loves and too little economic security to fool with forcing myself to be unhappy and deprived. If I want an album, I get it. I'd have approximately 300 albums if I did otherwise. As of now, I've got approximately 8,000.

Yeah, I went on a spree. I found Tricky's work after reading up on Massive Attack (which, Mezzanine was excellent). I'm still trying to wrap my head around how Endtroducing is practically an album of nothing but song samples.

I also have UNKLE's Psyence Fiction, but that is more hip-hop based.

to listen to Prince is never the worse crime comitted to humanity. nor is it to follow some of Walters advices or curses, sometimes when i listen to todays radio and pop music I fully understand were he's frustration comes from, and then I listen to Porcupine Three and I also realise that he also is missing something or are ignoramus about

I still don't see where he's coming from. If he takes one step past the surface of modern mainstream music he'd find good stuff.

If he is a troll he's going to keep saying the same thing for the lulz, if he really believes what he's saying you won't convince him otherwise, it's better to not worry about it.

Walter listens to everything, obscure prog rock to pop singers. Metal to jazz. He has very diverse taste, it just needs to be before 89
Which makes it all even a bit weirder
