Because it's not remotely prog.

No, but it's got about fifty times as much innovation, experimental edge, progression, avant-gardism, and what have you than most bands have on this site, collectively.

And yeah, I understand why bands do and do not get in. It isn't about experimentation, innovation, complexity, or progression - it's about a certain style. :P

If we had a subgenre for modern prog. electronic I'm sure Endtroducing would get him included, though.

I'm not sure, I'd say Music Has the Right to Children would be the best place to start.

Thanks, I'll look into it. Smile

Indeed. Shesmovedon is a personal favorite on that album though.
Alot better version than the Deadwing one.

Where We Would Be is one of the most forgettable songs they've ever written.

I don't really like Deadwing as an album anyway. There are some good songs, but overall it's not my favorite by any means.

Oh sweet lord. I gotta have some more. Are there any notable artists similar to DJ Shadow? I don't mean just in style, but in vision, as well.

I quite like Deadwing, the first two tracks though, Deadwing and Shallow are "skipable" material.
Never really liked those songs.

Check out some Madlib and Flying Lotus.

The best Porcupine Tree albums are Signify and Lightbulb Sun.

I really dont have as much love for the Snapper Years of PT as you guys.
Recordings is awesome, but Lightbulb Sun and especially Stupid Dream don't get alot of play time for me, with maybe a few tracks being played here and there.
